Kyle Schmid
Professional Experience
Kyle joined Karnopp Petersen in 2007 after spending time as a
solo practitioner representing individuals and small
businesses. Prior to that Kyle worked in-house for David
Evans and Associates, a large engineering firm, where his
duties centered on contract administration. During law
school, Kyle pursued an interest in environmental law by
serving as the managing editor of the University of Montana's
Public Lands and Resources Law Review and interning at the
National Wildlife Federation's Northern Rockies Natural
Resource Center in Missoula.
Professional and Community Activities
Since moving to Bend, Kyle has donated time to the Deschutes Basin Land Trust and the Central Oregon Trail Alliance in support of each groups’ role in preserving Central Oregon's natural character.
Personal Interests
Kyle enjoys a number of recreational and cultural pursuits outside the office, but usually forsakes them all for his twin passions of mountain biking and snowboarding.
