Karnopp Petersen Attorney, Ronald Roome, Appointed to the Oregon State Bar Disiplinary Board
Karnopp Petersen's Ronald Roome re-appointed to the Oregon State Bar Disciplinary Board.
Karnopp Petersen, LLP, is proud to announce Ronald Roome has been re-appointed to the Oregon State Bar Disciplinary Board. The 3-year appointment is a commendable honor since board members are appointed by the Oregon Supreme Court, nominated by the OregonState Bar Board of Governors, and are critical to the disciplinary process of the Oregon State Bar (OSB).
The Disciplinary Board, according to the OSB website, is a component of the disciplinary process for Oregon attorneys. When formal charges are brought against an Oregon attorney, the Disciplinary Board hears all contested cases (discipline and reinstatement) to decide the outcome of complaints against Oregon attorneys.
“It is a privilege to serve on this board,” said Ronald (Ron) Roome. “Most professions operate based on a code of ethical conduct and the same holds true for Oregon attorneys. My experience as a professional litigator, arbitrator, and mediator enables me to provide an objective and fair perspective at each hearing.”
Ron is a 20-year veteran with Karnopp Petersen and a seasoned civil litigator and trial attorney, representing a wide variety of both corporate and individual clients. He also serves on the Oregon Liquor Control Commission's Board of Commissioners and is a past President of J.R. Campbell American Inns of
Court and a past President of the Deschutes County Bar Association.
